Pick one work of art (found in Art Appreciation Links or Textbook) created between the Cave Paintings through Renaissance Periods and write an in-depth visual analysis of the painting, fresco, mosaic, sculpture, temple or cathedral. Use the example in Art Lectures (Visual Analysis Link) as a guide. Go into specific detail on every aspect (Description – Analysis (lines, shapes, textures, values and colors) – Historical Perspective – Judgment) of the work of art you choose in addition to including a web link where you found information and/or the artwork itself. The more you elaborate and go into specific detail the higher your grade.
